Beware of car stealers. . .

I'd never seen this reminder before. . . Feels like something my mother (not the police) would say.

Ha! There's supposed to be no parking in that area anyway! Maybe they want to be sure that the towtruck person can easily access your car. You know--in case you have the parking brake on.

I once parked in a fire lane for two days when I was in college AND, amazingly enough, on the evening of day two may car was secured by the tow truck person even though I locked my doors.

I've also tried to beg them to unhook my car another time I got out there five minutes too late. He did but still charged me the $125 it cost him to come out there, kind soul. My brother saved his girlfriend's car in the same situation by standing on the back of her bumper and daring the guy to drag it off. She was unhooked and didn't get a fine. Too bad for me that he hadn't come to UNC yet when I had my ordeals!

Wow! "There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a maiden." -Proverbs 30:18-19
